Season Two
(( Chapter Two In Progress ))
Chapter One - Newfound World
Stepping through the gate, the cats found themselves in an unfamiliar landscape, smelling of foreign animals and unknown flora. Onyx explained himself to the cats - he had brought them to Paradise, a sort of counterpart to Utopia, perfect in Onyx's eyes. The shadowy god led them from the entrance to a temple, almost identical to the Sacred Temple back home, although made of pitch-black onyx rather than pale quartz.
He revealed the presence of a third god, but that they had fallen. Now left to their own devices, the lost felines began to explore the world, slowly finding traces of strange beings. Monsters, they called them, though nothing like the Twoleg monsters back home. These were animals, although nothing like the predators or prey back home. They seemed more like twisted mockeries to the cats, unfamilar with the fauna of Paradise, used to the softer beings of their homeland. Were they truly the cruel and vicious beasts they seemed to be? Or were they Paradise's native animals, just as intimidated by the cats as the cats were of them?
After some time of getting used to the strange scenery, most places seemed somewhat safe. The peace, however, was soon shattered...literally. Something far, far up in the sky slowly began to crack, and as the cracks spread, it seemed to be...a dome, formerly invisible. The cats at the Temple were there to witness Onyx's horror as the dome suddenly shattered, raining glittering shards on the land below. The dark god fled into hiding, and an enormous group of dusty rats, led by a larger feline monster, swarmed the temple, soon overpowering the cats.
They fought the horde off, only to hear the cries of a cat coming from near the Temple. Wielding their powers, now with a bit of practice, the group rushed to action, saving the stranger from the furious beast. Once they drove it off, the stranger introduced herself as Fey, eliciting a whole host of emotions from the other cats.
The two gods had vanished, and the third had fallen long ago, but for some reason...the Blessed could sense three divine presences in Paradise, where there had been only one before.
A divine shadow, enveloping the land, as familiar as a cold night...
A holy brilliance, glittering in the dark, piercing through the shade...
A lost stranger, lonely as the sea, its shattered power remaining...
Onyx had gone into hiding, and the Void was dead...where was Quartz? The cats would soon find an answer to this question...
Eventually, guided by a familiar calling, an old ruin was found, and a party of travelers entered it, solving the puzzles to make their way to the back chamber. There, they found a black crystal, surrounded by ten pedestals, matching up with each subdivision. One of each power type...the small group stepped onto their pedestals, and channeled their power into the inky rock. A dark smoke began to surround the crystal, and Onyx revealed its purpose - to help mend the cracks in his world. With that, he left them...
Weeks later, the second crystal was found, as another urge brought another party to a volcano, fending off multiple angered monsters on the way. With a little bit of assistance, a group of Fire and Earth cats forced the volcano to erupt. Protected by outside forces, the cats made their way in, using their different powers to form a path that would bring them safely to the crystal. Yet again, the cats joined forces to activate it, joined by Fey, whose powers were revealed - the power of Light. And yet again, Onyx appeared...though seemingly confused by something, before he vanished once more.
Finally, the time had come. The third crystal's location was discovered, and the cats braved through a labyrinth to make it. They were greeted with a huge chamber and the largest crystal of all, as well as Onyx awaiting them, but...something was wrong.
A small cat kept crying out, sensing something that the others apparently didn't notice. Eventually, with a snarl, the seemingly-crazed cat turned to Fey, letting out a yowl that echoed through the chamber.
"Who are you, really?!?"
Suddenly compelled by a mysterious force, each cat spoke their name, even Onyx... ...and with tears in her eyes, the blue-eyed stranger answered, forced by the effect.
"I'm Quartz!"
The red-point cat ascended to her true form, attacking her twin brother, starting a fight that lasted too long. Some of the mortals tried to use their powers to stop the battle, but it was in vain, as the disembodied voice of the third sibling laughed bitterly, reminiscing about the opposing forces' arguments that they had tried so desperately to prevent.
Filled with rage, the duel eventually subsided into an argument, and fierce insults were hurled by each god, as the mortified mortals watched, trying to pacify them. Even Onyx, who had only shown his pacifistic side, snarled words that perhaps cut even deeper than Quartz's. As the twins slowly calmed down enough to listen, the felines spoke up to the great beasts.
They spoke of family...of what they had back home, and what they had done. Finally, the two opposing forces seemed to stop clashing, and let their care for their sibling rise over. They listened...and they chose to take their subjects back to Utopia. Quartz's world...their home. But would it be fixable...? And what of the cats that were left there...? Only time will tell...
CHAPTER 1 - End

Prologue
The world, at peace since the defeat of Purgatory, was suddenly thrust into chaos by an endless storm. Snow blanketed the North, floods wreaked havoc on the lowlands, and a fault line in OakClan led to its destruction. Countless lives were lost, of Clan cats and loners alike. When the cats met for one last Gathering at the Sacred Temple...the world took its dying breath.
Two great deities, lost to time and unknown to the cats, emerged from the ground: a shadowy black tom, and a shimmering white she-cat. The dark god quickly led the cats through a rift to get them to safety, and as his bright counterpart struck him, everything went grey. The cats found themselves in an overgrown city, and were soon sorted into Divisions, whose purposes were yet unknown. Watched by Onyx, the cats were given a few "games" and puzzles to solve, as well as the new knowledge of gifts from the gods themselves.
The Blessings of Light and Shade would be gifted to them by the opposing twins...and a third, violet as the Void, revealed itself, to the shock and horror of the other two. Once the Divisions' true purposes revealed themselves, Onyx took the cats to a place known as Gateway, and led them to his world...
Paradise.

Season One
In the beginning, there were four clans. Each clan with its own leader, deputy, and respective medicine cats. Not each clan, however, was led by a benevolent leader. . .
Missingstar, the rising leader of Aspenclan, was cruel. A trainee of the Twisted Forest, she encouraged her clanmates to follow her ways and took in cats who believed in her ideals. This lead to even the banishment of loyal Aspenclan cats who feared their Twisted Forest clanmates and refused to trail in their pawsteps, however these cats would not let themselves be oppressed forever, and eventually succeeded in driving her and her followers out of the clan.
Missingstar, once more Missingheart, fled with Kinkfang to become rogues, spreading discord in their wake. They were not alone, however . . .
Meanwhile, Wolfstar, the leader of Driftclan, set forth into the wilds far from her clan. She met with a strange cat unknown to the clans who she seemed quite familiar with, and they spoke of clan and groups unknown.
"Our tribe will help you." The stranger said, revealing themselves as The Stoneteller. A time of great need was coming, and the newfound tribe would be needed.
Missingheart, as well as other cats of similar state and ideals, formed together in the camp of a long extinct clan. This band of cats grew colossal in numbers and reformed the long dead clan with the guidance of two of the Twisted Forest leaders.
Brokenclan, a group of rogues, cannibals, and murderers that followed the Twisted Forest, reasserted themselves by taking back its original territory beside Driftclan.
Their idea of a medicine cat, their Toxicologist, Nightshade was aided by Missingheart in the kidnapping of the Ivyclan medicine cat Ivythroat, to force her to teach them about healing medicines. It was a declaration of war, and one that no cat would forget.
The Twisted Forest, fueled by the bloodlust of their own but by the cats that trained with them, grew more powerful by the night. However, the source of their power was unknown, but an eerie presence had yet to reveal itself. . .
Two twin calico cats made themselves present. Crepus and Culum revealed themselves as prophets and slowly formed their own group, taking from loners, rogues, clan cats, and any they could so find to listen to their message. They offered things for only one price.
However, it seemed they knew the Brokenclan cats well, as they came to visit when they could, even offering things to the Medicine Cat Prisoner for only her soul, and eventually salvation; freedom.
She refused.
The Enlightened was formed regardless. Cats selling their souls and buying into the words of the self proclaimed prophets, disregarding what they once knew in favor of what they now had.
Where were the souls going, however, once sold? Once taken?
Havenclan was losing power. The ancestors were struggling, powerless to stop the Twisted Forest as they spread and manifested, infecting the living and bringing them closer. . . It was The Enlightened that they should have feared.
Another afterlife, one lost to time, was freed. Purgatory.
Their power was unrivaled, feeding the Twisted Forest as they themselves fed on the power gained from the souls of the living and of all they could consume. Their goal was uncertain, but soon the barrier that separated the afterlives began to dissolve. Purgatory raided Havenclan, slaughtering any cat slow enough or unable to fight back. Very few managed to escape, some managing to cross into the Tribe of Eternal Bounty, and others diving into the depths of Limbo to escape their fate.
Many were murdered, or taken hostage by The Twisted Forest. One cat did turn himself into the Twisted Forest willingly, as if he had belonged there. He caught the attention of one supposedly loyal Twisted Forest tom, and an uneasy alliance was formed.
The Twisted Forest, even with Purgatory's power, was unable to destroy the border into the Tribe's afterlife.
The living cats, unable to contact Havenclan or find the clanmates who had left for Brokenclan or the Enlightened, were left in a panic. They knew something was coming, and began to prepare for battle. They formed patrols of varying cats of different clans, hoping to protect their borders and be prepared for any strike from any of their enemies, however it proved in vain as great tragedy struck many of the clans.
The Driftclan camp was set ablaze by a Twisted Forest tom known as Furzepelt, while Oakclan's camp was raided and destroyed by Purgatory spirits with the shadows Shaded Tree and Raining Feather leading the attack. Ivyclan also lost their camp, as Vipershade and others of the Twisted Forest forced the volcano on their island to erupt, destroying their camp and even resulting in the death of the Oakclan leader who had come to aid in their escape, Elkstar. Nightshade, the Brokenclan toxicologist, who held a personal grudge against Crepus and Culum and had been aiding in returning Ivythroat to her clanmates, witnessed his death. She carried his body away from the flowing lava and back to the remnants of Oakclan, where Ivyclan would stay until the battle.
Only Aspenclan barely managed to avoid tragedy, however the deaths of their leader and deputy, mates Batstar and Mallowstripe, just before battle would leave them just as devastated.
The place of battle was designated as the Sacred Temple, the place of Gatherings, but it was now a battleground. All four clans arrived together, later aided by not only the tribe but also loners that had agreed to aid them in this fight. The medicine cats of not only these clans, but even Brokenclan, were on their side, as well as the Mist Healers from a loner group contacted by Aspenclan, leaving them safe in the case of severe injury.
However, fighting against the savages of Brokenclan and the cats of the Enlightened as well as Purgatory was no small trial, and many cats lost their lives. Brokenclan cats, throughout the fight, questioned themselves and some switched sides, aiding in the reformation of Brokenclan into less of an evil, although loyalties were strained and tested again and again. More cats arrived in the form of the tribe cats and a small patrol of Loners, lead by a she-cat once banished by Missingstar from her clan, furthering the fray.
Suddenly, with seemingly no warning, a light flickered in the center of the temple, and something strange happened. The temple shifted, raising and floating as crystals were revealed from beneath the earth. The cats were stunned, shocked as they watched this display, but also the fusion of the prophets into the beast Crepusculum, a monster of Purgatory.
In the confusion and terror, a lone savior rushed in, smashing their head into the revealed crystals and activating them to once again seal away Purgatory and save the living. A beam of divine light pierced the sky, driving the shadows back into their prison, but those who had sold their souls to Crepus and Culum were taken as well.
Only more cats were lost.
Finally, Stargazer of the Tribe of Eternal Bounty, and a spirit revealed as Purged Soul began to face off. It was the final battle, and the cats--bloodied, battered, hurt, and in ruins--watched on as these powerful entities fought to the death.
In the end, however, Purged Soul was defeated, and Purgatory and The Twisted Forest were both locked away, with Havenclan regaining its cats and its former glory. The afterlives were restored to what they were before, and the living cats were able to reconcile with what and who was left and slowly fix the lives they had almost lost that night. They had won the battle, despite their many losses. . .
But how long would it last?
